I haven't got the time right now to research this. I’m sure there was some discussion on this just a few months ago but I can’t get to my notes now.
But, the wheel mast jacket and shifter rod is non-metallic as opposed to the metallic interior paint. Also the tint is not the same as the interior. The best way that I can describe it is somewhere between salmon and mauve. I’ll bet that really helps now doesn’t it!!! I tried photographing it with several different light sources but it just comes out gray, which is incorrect because it has a reddish, brown tint to it.
I have a mast jacket that has excellent paint on it but it’s in the truck right now so I can’t take it into the store with me. Besides, my dealer has never had much luck scanning any samples that I have brought into him. We always end up looking through the hundreds of paint books.
I’d like to get this one settled also so I can rush down to the PPG store and blow another hundred bucks on paint!!
