Yes, D1ck, I saw that comment about the Dextron II Fluid!
I did finally get my hands on an 1985 S-10 Owner's Manual and it plainly states in there that Dextron II fluid is to be used in the T-5 transmission, so I'm Ok with that now that I have read it in person.
It will be interesting to see what this author has to say to you about his gear ratios. Let us know!
