I just hate wasted space and the speaker hole is just wasted space. I may mount the radio in the glove box and put a small insert in the speaker hole to hold CDs and other small stuff out of the line of sight. I think I can make the flip down door bolt to the lower origional mounting holes and put some rubber bmmpers in the top holes.
