I put a 292 into a 54 6100 which has the side motor mounts the same as the 250 but slightly different positions. I cut the brackets that are attached to the frame out of the 1970 donor truck and cut them down to fit the narrow frame of the 54. I bolted the engine to the transmission and held it in place with the engine hoist and cut the brackets to fit and then bolted them in place. I haul 9000 lbs of water almost every day with ou any problems. Jim
