If yours is like my 38 216 the cable housing clamps just below the air filter housing. The wire continues down & through a hole in the linkage arm. Below this hole you put a wire stop that clamps to the wire. When you pull the knob, the wire pulls up on the linkage, accelerating the engine. During normal operation the hole in the linkage slides up & down around the wire with no interferance. I'd send you a pic but I don't have any of that particular spot. If you don't get what you need let me know & I'll snap a couple & send them to you.
