We put a '57 283 (front mount) w/ a TH 350 into my '55 1st series. Welded up our own front angeled mounts to take the stock front mounts. We cut the tranny cross member down the center and moved it back and added steel to the middle (wider as we moved back) with a tranny mount to match TH 350 tail mount. Keep in mind the angle to equal the angle off your rear end. I used the old rams horns exhaust and had to move the steering box over 2". All is well.......
