I guess I should have explained better, I can get the rubber pedal and arm off, it's where the clutch and brake pedal arms pivot, they're both on a shaft then there's a spring and a funny-looking retaining clip that the assembly manual calls a "pin lock". It looks like maybe I could pry it off of the shaft, or knock it off with a hammer and punch, but I don't want to get it bent so that it won't hold right when I put it back on. I was hoping someone had been here before and had a good idea. Thanks for your replies.
