Just "inherited" a rear axle assembly from a late 70's Trans Am. I think it will work well for my hopefully soon to be AD truck project. My question is how do you remove the existing spring perches without distorting the axle from too much heat? An at home basic solution would be best. Would a cutoff (reciprocating) saw work? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.
