Bill Miles uses the Fentons on a 53 GMC hydra-matic truck but GMC and Chev use different linkage. The hydra-matic actually uses a different pivot location on the side of the block. There is a spring loaded kickdown style linkage and the link that goes up from bellcrank to carb is adjustable length. I have a 54 Chevy truck with hydra-matic in it that currently has clifford tube headers. I plan to remove them and go back to a corvette split exhaust manifold to get heat back to the Offy intake with dual Rochesters. There are some pics on my webshots site. I really don't think you will have problem with linkage clearance but I understand that there is some clearance work that needs to be done to use the Offy intake with Fenton exhaust.
