For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 37 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 37 | I have recently installed a 2-1/2" drop spindle disc brake kit from McCaughys on my 1961 Chev 1/2 ton.Installation went fine using original ball joints. The problem came when I went to put on the original 6bolt 5-1/2" wheels. The calipers rub on the rim.I have tried wheel spacers but the problem still exists.I would like to keep the original style wheels and caps.Has anyone had this same problem?Does anyone know of a solution to this?THANKS in advance for any help. | | | |
