73 was the beginning of a new series, "third gen" C/K, different body, altho similar - the 67-72 "2nd gen" C/K series was the end of the panel, tho there was no doubt some leftover 72's sold in 73 .... and the HHR "panel" is actually a minivan, no panel ever had a sliding side door
