not sure what fla title law is, but i see a lot of posts having a police officer come out and verify the vin #'s. i have seen other posts that refer to taking rubbings of the vin tag to the title service, especially if the truck is non running. you might be able to plead ignorance on behalf of the previous owner and show w/ the tag, rubbing or a digital pict that the title is a typo and just get it corrected? like i said i don't know how fla title works, or how picky thay are. good luck!
