For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 360 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 360 | need some help. have a frozen 51 235, was orig a powerglide but was converted to a 3 spd man. got the clutch out (boy that was fun) and now i need to get the flywheeel off to disassemble the bellhousing. are they all bolts or is it a combo of bolts and nuts/studs holding the FW? what size should they be? they appear to be 11/16 but just don't want to grab decently. are they standard thread or are they left handed? what are the small tin like bridges between the bolts? the only info i have on this motor is a 40-54 chiltons repair book and that has been good to keep my head off the garage floor while removing the clutch!!
thanks for any help again.
