Hello All,
I currently have a column shift for my speed with overdirve in my 1964 burb. The linkage isn't working well at all.I am stranded in my driveway once again, with the tranny stuck in 3rd and the shifter and linkages way off in some alternate pattern related to the coming of the solstace and not shifting gears.This is the 4th time this has happened to me - last time required a rebuild of some tranny bits and the linkage rod I broke. So enough whinning ...
I am wondering if anyone knows which hurst shifter will work with the 3 speed trans (Saginaw 3sp with 7 bolt side cover 66-72?). My major concern is the overdrive solenoid,and whether it will get in the way of the shifter. Does anyone have and experience with these set ups and/or dimensions for the shifter linkages in relationship to the trans.
