I have considering this, with one exception, the stock s-10 steering geometry then needs spacers and brackets to be welded and located to the frame. My goal is something simple for someone to weld-in, and not require a locating fixture. Besides the fact that when you clip, you dont have to locate anything - its on the clip. When you are using the stock frame, you need to located everything. if off a little, steering geometry is off. I also am no keen on trimming sheetmetal. Hence the simplicity of a rack.

The GM F-body has the right width, correct ends for the GM metric / S-10 spindles and is easy to mount.
