Good idea,if you have the 220 handy.The only difference is the lower amperage with 220.A lot of people think you get more power and use less power,but this is not true.On my dust collector for my woodshop,when it was hooked to 110,it would trip a breaker everytime it started up. I switched it over to 22o,and no more problems.
