Working on the old 49 which hasn't run in who knows how long. I just got it after it had been sitting for ???? It has HUCK brakes, 1-1/4" diameter front wheel cylinders, 1-3/16" diameter rears.
Pulled all wheels and wheel cylinders along with master and in process of disassembling/rebuilding them (once I get the rebuild kits!)
Tonight I pulled the Parking Brake cables, and noticed that the ends of the cables in the rear brakes don't appear attached to anything!! The cable ends were just hanging there next to the backer plate.
This has got me completely confused!!!
What does the end of the cable attach to in the rear brakes? How does the brake actuate? The cable has to pull on something?? Looks like maybe mine was removed, (along with some hardware?) disabling the parking brake.
HELP!
