The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk 50 Chevy-difference between "Special" and "Deluxe"

The truck that I have has the following on the door jamb tag:
14HPJ23717. According to the Chevrolet model identification chart this tells me that the "14" is Baltimore,"HP" is a 1950 3100-116 wheelbase-1/2 ton, the "J" is Special and it was the 22,716 truck produced at that plant that year.
According to the model ID chart "J" is "Special" and a "K" would be "Deluxe". What is the difference?
