Still trying to figure out some crafty way to get 22.5" wheels on my 1951 4400.

What about changing hubs? If there is a popular truck front hub with a spindle the same size as mine, with the bearings in about the right places, and about the right length, how about swapping to those hubs? I'm assuming that a truck hub will have truck brakes, so that shouldn't be a problem.

For the rear axle, surely the axle manufacturer made axles for more than a few years, and for more than a few brands of trucks. The bolt pattern on the flange might be different, and the axle splines, but it would seem possible that, even though this wouldn't be cheap, it would be better than nothing, and would have some advantages.
