yes, mounted it on top of the generator and ran it with a small belt on a second grove on the generator.
there is a picture on my link below, then in the Chevy axle upgrade folder.

other option is to find the double grove pulley as used when the engine had an air compressor in a big truck. (one of those for sale in the latest issue of the ATHS magazine, compressor and all)

I hear you can have a balancer and pulley built with two belt groves, I forget by who, but recently read it on this site, perhaps "Dampener Doctor" or a similar name??

Other option is driven off the back of the generator as the mid 50's cars had. Can be expensive, not my first choice.
