Tried to search for this so I thought I'd try this subject forum.
On one of my exhaust manifolds, the front face that bolts up to the head has rust pit marks on it. Similar to body work can I fill in the pit marks using a MIG weld and smooth them out with a file or will they not stick as the manifold is a casting. If not is there an alternative. I believe with the gasket on and bolted up it might not seal with the pit marks and all?
