I will bow to the experts here, but it sure looks wider than the one I have om my 1940. I think the hinges are different ? It also looks a little beat up. Add that to the cost to ship it from England, and I think you should keep looking.
PS My '40 gate has the "Chevrolet " script lettering on it.
