Something I have been noticing lately is that when the engine is idling and the tranny is in gear (not park or neutral) and I have my foot on the brakes, my oil pressure is about 5 psi or less. It doesn't seem to matter much whether the engine is hot or cold, but maybe a little worse when hot. It is a 307 with a TH350. Cold start-up pressure is 40-45, warmed up it is about 25. What would cause this to happen? Would it be a bad thrust bearing maybe, and above idle the oil pump is able to make up the loss of pressure?
