Be SURE to read Tom Brownell's gudie to restoring Chevrolet pickups, AND one or two other similar more generic guides (like "Hot Rodder's Bible" by Burger and Hendrickson - EXCELLENT).
This will save ytou a lot of grief, and also provide good ideas.
