I've had an aluminum radiator before, a Griffin, and had cooling problems on my IROC. The copper/brass radiator did a much better job of cooling...at least in my comparison test.
But aluminum has a strong following and it's probably a matter of opinion.
A/C condensers should go in front of a radiator, but I didn't have one, so that wasn't applicable to me. Plenty of room for that too though.
