I've seen a few project where guys think they will slap the truck on a different frame. They find out very quickly it's alot easier said then done. Some of the projects I've seen finished you can tell the truck is on a different frame cause it just doesn't sit right.
A few things to think about if your going to be using a newer frame.
Body mounts
Gas filler system
Shorten frame
Shorten Drive shaft.
Shorten Brake lines
Park brake cables will need to modified
Gas line shortened
Steering system
Rad support
That's just a few things I came up with. There's probably more. Wouldn't be a lot easier updating the original frame?
