I used the customary welting just to center the glass in the frame. I used 2" strips and mounted them perpendicular to the windshield edge. I spaced them about 6"-8" inches apart. Then I used a permatex windshield FLOWABLE sealer to fill the channel about half way. I finished with a black permatex windshield sealer. Gotta mask the frame and the window glass to reduce the mess. Worked just fine and I didn't have to worry about cracking the glass. | | |
