All of the 3/4 and 1 ton diff set ups are pretty much interchangeable.
Careful.
Some of the trucks had Dana rear axles that are completely different from the Eaton axles
When you are differential shopping check first that you are looking at a compatible rear. The Eaton has a round rear cover and the differential section can be removed from the front, much like a Ford 9-inch. A Dana has an odd shapped rear cover and the differential has to be removed through that cover by disasembling it much like a 10-bolt and 12-bolt Chevy rear.
