My 37 dash too was difficult to get out. I did as you & Bruce Graham did, plus also had to remove the interior trim pieces that go on the sides of the windshield pillar. Removing these 2 trim pieces allowed me to push the dash up after all screws, bolts & crank were removed. I believe there were 2 screws on each side trim piece.
