I was under the impression that a lubricator (oiler) had to be located not to darned far from the device it was to lubricate. The oil mist will only be carried a short distance before it falls out of the air and coats the inside of the hose or pipe.
A 20' 3/8th airline would be WAY to long for a lubricator to be effective. If you keep a small squirt bottle of air tool oil handy, you can oil the tool immediately before using it, and it will get to where it belongs.
Having dirty oily air and clean air hanging around in various hoses would lead to inevitable disaster...for me anyway.
