I'm turning into a huge fan of
KROIL , that penetrating oil that's famous for freeing up stuck nuts and bolts. Today I wanted to pull the aged and cracked glass out of my new old vent windows and didn't have any brake cleaner to soften the adhesive so I sprayed some Kroil around the edges and it softened that 55+ year old stuff up and the glass came out with little effort. This stuff is great.
