From what I have found out the Lincolns,Clarkes,etc. are hobby type welders.They do a fine job for most small projects.But if you are gonna use one a lot,you will be better off buying a Miller.A friend of mine had a Lincoln which served him very good til he started using it every day on projects. Then it burned up,due to the fact it uses an alluminum transformer.Milleer uses a copper one and are a little more pricey.
