I don't know if my memory serves me will or not, but on the old radios (I assume that you are using an old one) the dial light was in a socket that snaps on the top near the front. I'm not sure of the set-up in your vehicle but it may be possible to access it through the ash tray or maybe you can reach around and on top. Then, it might be that you will have to take it out. That's the best I can help with my memory. Its been a long time.
