Gonna have to do some work if you want to change it. The spring purches will have to be welded to the new axle where you need them. There are plenty of axles that are suitable... just bring a measuring tape to the wrecking yard. If you hate crawling around in the mud at wrecking yards get yourself an IMCA modified ford 9 inch as you can get them made new with any width, bolt pattern, and gear ratio. It'll save you money in the long run because you will probably end up rebuilding that junkyard axle anyway.
