For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 | A little help for the electrically challenged please. My '40 currently has fender mounted parking lights. I want to add turn lights here rather than bumper mounted. I picked up some ( 2 ) terminal sockets which fit OK. I have wiring there for both parking and turn functions. Sockets are ( 2 ) wire type. I can get the parking lights to work, however, them seem very bright. Same for the signal lights if i use the ( 4 ) way flashers, however signals will not work with only the turn signal lever. Get a solid light on the left dash indicatior. Have I got my wires crossed somehow ? Is ground accomplished thru the metal housing/body, or do I need separate ground wire ? Thanks in advance Guys !!! | | |
