hey Brat, welcome to the garage, we'll help you sort it out!
first you need to clarify the problem - there's no channel that the windshield seal fits
into, there's a 'pinchweld flange' that one side of the seal fits
over ... frequently that flange around the opening is rotten, especially at the top where there is likely corrosion in the eyebrow .... no patch panels available for that area, you have to repair it from scratch
