I don't know anything about the parts store you went to, but mine has the shocks for a 52 1/2 ton in stock. I do know that some of the on-line vendors carry them, but I would look for a different parts store. One of the "mom & pop" kind. Napa will be able to fill your needs, but they are usually on the high end of the price range. For my 3/4 ton I got Gabriels, the fronts were in stock, the rears had to be ordered from Gabriel's classic line.
