The "odor" of gasoline is not good in an enclosed area. Any gasoline vapor present is highly explosive, and in the summer heat, the flashpoint of gasoline is just right for the least spark to rid you of all of the problems you have been experiencing with your truck.
Open the garage up. Open the doors and windows. Don't start anything electrical (including the vehicles in the garage.
Let the garage air out for a bit (30 minutes), then move the truck outside and leave it there until you find the source of the gasoline vapor odor.
