Best to replace bed wood with white ash. Too many people replace the wood with oak, thinking that was what was used originally. Oak reacts with moistuer and will swell and cup, it was never used for bed parts for this reason. Apitong, maple, cherry or ash will stand the hard use and not change dimension in weather.
