| | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 151 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 151 | I've used aniline dye for part of the running boards on my '46 Panel but I used alcohol based dye not water. It was not this product. Like it has been said you have to use the right top coat to protect it. I used Gold Star Marine urethane. I like the alcohol based dyes, I tested both for my need, they seem to penatrate better and have a deeper color.
