on my 1950 there is a rod that connects the park-brake to a cross bar that pulls the brake cables. The rod is in two parts. It kinda looks to me that there was a short bed rod, and an extention that fit into it, but I'm not sure. At any rate I bought a new rod and it is about ten inches too short, so I am thinking I need another piece (based on the broken piece I took out of there). The truck had some repairs in the past and I am not certain that the parts I took out are really original. Does anyone have some information about the rod(s) that connect from the park brake to the frame-crossing bar that actually pulls the brakes? Did I mention it is a long bed truck?
