does this information only apply to the manual steering trucks? Is it different on the power steering equipped trucks?

Yes the power steering is different. They generally don,t need adjusting but sometimes you can tighten down the adjustment on top 1/4 turn or so. If you go to far it will give you a weird high spot feeling.
