I recently ordered a 292, balanced with 9.0:1 propane pistons with some porting and polishing and if you do the same you will like it. They are a great engine. Torquey! Been quite a while since I had one. I noticed the by pass hose also from the water pump to the thermostat housing like JoeH found. The 194, 230, and 250s did not have that feature. The older 235/261 were different. Looks like you will have some fun once you get it finished. Remember they are not high revving engines. But they are tough. There is an Iliner member about an hour from me that has a 400hp racing version. He won't sell it. I tried to see if he would let me buy it but he wouldn't budge. Enjoy!
