You're a mechanic, so this might go without saying...don't let anyone talk you into a budget driver set that uses plastic drivers...as my kids would say, "they suck".
As where to get one, eBay would be a good place to watch, or peruse craigslist occasionally. I think a new set would probably cost at least one arm and part of a leg.
Take a night machine shop class and whip an entire set out..isn't Eugene crawling with community colleges.
