I'm helping someone work on a 56 1 ton with a 67 327 with a 5 speed manual transmission. The owner tells me that the clutch setup is almost new but there is a problem getting the truck into first and reverse without grinding the gears. To drive the truck you have to shut the truck off and start it in gear to drive it. I attempted to adjust the pedal linkage but the rod is fully extended. The owner also states that he put a new t.o. bearing in but doesn't know what size bearing he installed. I've been told that there are 2 bearing heights 1 1/4 and a 1 7/8. Which bearing going with a diaphram pressure plate??? What size clutch disc should be used with the 327 1 ton? any help would be appreciated
