I recently came across what I believe to be a 1938 GMC sleeper cab truck tractor :confused:. It is very incomplete on the front end, but the body lines and hood look to me like a '38. The cab is really cool, the windshield frame is different than the standard cab, and the doors are missing, but they look like they would be the same as a pick up. It has round cornered, triangular shaped side glass on the sleeper, and some type of square vents or windows on the back of the cab. There was also alot of wood used in this cab, like most of the trucks back then. I love old big trucks! It is in pretty sad shape but it still looks neat.
I was wondering who made this type of cab for GM. This is in a junk yard and would take days of moving other cars just to get it out and it probably would just fall apart if you did
. It would make for good patterns to build one though.
I can only imagine how jealous
other drivers were when they saw this "fancy", "comfortable" truck going down the road
