Does anybody know where I might find a new flywheel ring gear for my 261? Mine's not terrible but could be better. Flywheel is stamped (8706410) and is out of a '59 Chevy.
Alternative is to remove, turn it around, and reinstall but....
By the way, those of you who responded to my previous vibration post--rebuilt harmonic balancer didn't help (as we suspected) but removing pressure plate took care of it except for a very, very minor vibration at about 1400 rpm. Looking like the machine shop misbalanced the clutch to the flywheel. :mad:
