The 235 and 261 are nearly drop in, look almost identical, and have up to twice the power. They pop up quite often around Edmonton usually in running condition. I have a never bored 1951 216 block I'll give you if you really want originality and a splash engine. Check the Bargain finder every week. Good luck.
