Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 39 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2005 Posts: 39 | I have radio delete plates from a '54 - '55 Chevy and from a '54 -'55 GMC. Both plates look identical, except the GMC plate does not have the Chevy bowtie emblem.
When I flip the radio delete plates over, the Chevy plate has two metal clips that hold the plate into the dash. The GMC plate has two metal tabs, with screws, fender washers and nuts that hold the GMC radio delete plate to the dash. I know the Chevy clips are original, but GMC configuration also looks like it could be from the factory.
Where there differences, between Chevy and GMC in the way these plates were insatlled?
I have seen numerous radio delete plates for the 54 - 55 Chevy and they have the clips. This is the first radio delete plate that I saw for a GMC. | | |
