Dave, I have followed your photo albums with great interest, and have learned many finer points from your postings, I frequently go to your site just to re-read what you have done with your engine & T5 tranny - I thank you for taking the time to prepare and post those photos. It seems that I have more to learn.
My 261 is at the machine shop right now, stalled while we await the arrival of a cam from the US (it has been nearly 4 weeks since order). Why do you recommend putting an harmonic balancer from a Small Block V8 (SBC) on an I6 ("bore the crank for a SBC bolt) and also drilling / tapping the main cap to allow installation of the timing cover bolts from the outside. I have already drilled and tapped my block for full flow filtration - that was interesting getting that chunk of iron mounted in my drill press!
